In the Summer of 1990,

 a group of best friends from a small coastal town, Matata - New Zealand started learning

to surf on second hand surfboards.

 We donned ourselves"The Matata Locals"

 This has now formed the essence of our brand.

 The core idea being that this brand will bring people together, no matter where they are from.
